Update 12:00pm: Power has been restored and the roadway is completely opened.
May 4, 2016 - The power is out at the Shelby County Today office temporarily while AEP Swepco linemen repair a power pole which was tagged not long ago for needing replacement. The outage will take several hours; however, thanks to the newly redesigned Shelby County Today website, we are still able to post news, around town stories, classifieds, and more.
Be careful traveling through San Augustine street as work crews have cones out which narrows the roadway.
