July 12, 2018 - Join the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and the staff and congregation of First United Methodist Church for a Ribbon Cutting to Launch the Little Free Library. The Ribbon Cutting will be held on Thursday, July 12th at 11:00am at Center First UMC located at 211 Porter Street in Center.
Nancy Dickerson, Center First UMC Children’s Director, along with church member Carlos Gray, built a Little Free Library inspired by the Little Free Library program “take a book, leave a book.” This will be a special place for sharing good books and bringing the community together through the joy of reading. The Little Free Library exchanges operate on the honor system; anyone visiting the Little Free Library may take a book or bring a book to share.
The public is invited to attend and celebrate.
