June 10, 2024 - Plans are underway for the 2024 Santa’s Christmas Parade which will be held on Saturday, December 7th beginning at 6:00pm. The Parade is presented by High Roller Wells. The theme for this year’s parade is “A North Pole Fantasy.” Silver Sponsors are Farmers State Bank, Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation and Specter, Inc.
Categories for the 2024 Parade will include: Individuals, Schools, Businesses, Churches and Civic Organizations. Judges will award cash prizes to the top three places in each category. The Float Competition Sponsor is the City of Center. The Sponsor for the Grand Marshal is Dazzle Me Pink and Blue. This year’s Grand Marshal will be J.J. Ford, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award recipient.
Parade float entry registration is free and completed applications must be returned to the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce office by Monday, November 20th.
It is summer and it is hot, but it is never too early to start planning your float. Decorate your pick up truck, golf cart, horse and buggy etc. Join in the holiday festivities and have fun!
The Taste of the Holidays, sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank, will be held on Thursday, December 5th at the Windham Civic Center from 4:30-7:30pm. There will be delicious food samplings available.
