October 18, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 23rd day of October at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve Weekly Expenses.
2. Approve Payroll.
3. Public comments on agenda item.
4. Discuss and possibly approve to advertise for bids on road maintenance materials for Shelby County.
5. Discuss and possibly approve to apply for the FY 2025 Formula Grant offered through the Texas Indigent Defense Commission for Indigent Defense on criminal cases.
6. Discuss and possibly adopt a Resolution for the 2025 Texas Indigent Defense Grant Program.
7. Discuss and possibly ratify the Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning.
8. Discuss and possibly approve reassigning the Ford Explorer formally used by Constable, Precinct 4 to Courthouse Security and approve repairs.
9. Discuss and possibly allocate the remaining $44,000.00 in ARPA Funds to the Huber Water Well Project.
10. Record the FY2024 Shelby County Jail Commissary expenditure audit per Local Government Code 351.0415.
11. Discuss and possibly approve fiber/telephone contracts with ATT and/or ETEX for the main Courthouse, District/County Attorney office and the County Clerk office.
12. COMMISSIONERS’ COURT REPORTS: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
