SC Commissioners’ Court Special meeting Agenda, Jan. 18

January 14, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 18th day of January, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.

2. Public comments on Agenda item.

3. Approve current Payroll.

4. John Winchester from Winchester Roofing to address the court regarding a roof maintenance Program.

5. Record Completion of Education hours for Shelby County Clerk.

6. Discuss and possibly approve adjusting the per diem for travel.

7. Record the filing on the Vehicle Inventory Tax Fund audit for January 2023.

8. Discuss and take action to approve FY2023 Budget Line-Item Transfer for Fund 40 – American Rescue Plan.

9. Approve and adopt the Agreement with Paxton Water Supply Corporation for the emergency water well project.

10. Discuss and possibly move forward with the above floor sewer and vent piping project in the Sheriff’s Department and Detention Center and discuss funding for the project.

11. Approve a grant for assistance from the Sabine River Authority under the Community Assistance GRANT Program in the amount of $15,000.

12. Update on the Application of a CDBG-MIT Grant.

13. Discuss and approve the County Judge to apply for funds Shelby County qualifies for from the Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund (LATCF) under the American Rescue Plan Act.

14. Record Racial Profiling Report for Johnny Harrington with Adult Probation.

15. Discuss the property located at 166 Childs Street located in the City of Center.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

16. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.

17. Reopen public meeting.

18. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in the Executive Session.

19. Adjourn.
