March 21, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 26th of March, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Approve and pay current payroll.
3. Public comments on Agenda item.
4. Discuss and possibly approve a request from Portacool, LLC for a Tax Abatement Agreement for property belonging to Portacool, LLC located in Shelby County, Texas.
5. Take action to disburse the Child Safety Fee Fund.
6. Discuss and possibly approve the contract between the City of Center and the County Elections Department to rent the Center Community House for early voting and election day for the November 2025 election.
7. Discuss and possibly approve the contract between Shelby County, Texas and San Augustine Motor Company to establish a deadline for delivery of four (4) 2025 trucks for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, that was approved by the Commissioners Court on September 4, 2024.
8. Discuss and give public notification of the closure of County Road 4778 for the dates of April 4th, April 5th, and April 6th for the purpose of redecking a bridge.
9. Commissioner’s Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
