June 6, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 11th day of June, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of: May 7th Special Meeting, May 14th Regular Meeting, May 14th Workshop Meeting, May 21st Special Meeting and May 28th Special Meeting.
2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
3. Public comments on Agenda item.
4. Approve Officers Report.
5. Discuss and possibly approve an upgrade of the Shelby County Sheriffs Dept 911/phone recording equipment with a contribution of $15,000 dollars from DETCOG and a County contribution of $3,246.00.
6. Discuss and possibly designate (2) two members to represent Shelby County on the DETCOG Board of
Directors for a one-year term from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
Executive Session:
7. An Executive Session will also be held to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the governmental body in negotiations with a third person. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Sec. 551.072
8. Reopen Executive Session.
9. Discuss and possibly make a decision discussed in Executive Session.
10. Commissioner’s Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
