October 30, 2025Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 5th day of November, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve Weekly Expenses.
2. Approve Payroll.
3. Public comments on agenda item.
4. Recognize the resignation of Debora Johnson from the Tri-County Community Action Board of Directors and possibly appoint Donny Johnson to replace her on the Board.
5. Take action to approve the FY2025 Budget Line-Item Transfers and Budget Amendments.
6. Discuss and possibly declare an International Prostar parts truck as salvage for Precinct 3.
7. Discuss and possibly move forward with the AgriLife Campus Project.
8. Consider and possibly approve future maintenance of County Road 3736 and use of or release of the Darrin Borders $25,000.00 bond in accordance with Commissioner Court minutes of May 11, 2022. Executive Session:
9. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by the Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
10. Reopen public meeting.
11. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues in Executive Session.
