September 18, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 24th day of September, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Approve current payroll.
3. Public comments on agenda item.
4. Take action to disburse the Child Safety Fund Fee.
5. Discuss and possibly set the Regular Term of the Commissioners Court as the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am on the 2nd floor of the Shelby County Courthouse.
6. Discuss and possibly adopt the 2026 County Holidays.
7. Discuss and possibly consider renewal of the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Timpson regarding the hiring of a Deputy Constable.
8. Discuss and possibly enter into Contract with Southern Health Partners in providing health care for the Shelby County Jail inmates.
9. Discuss and possibly approve the MOU between DETCOG, City of Center & Shelby County to establish a partnership to provide Communications Tower Coverage for City and County Services.
10. Discuss and possibly approve the proposal from SAFECO Security Systems for installation of video surveillance system for Shelby County Juvenile Probation.
11. Announce the change of the next weeks CC Meeting from Wednesday, October 1st at 9:30 am to Tuesday, September 30th at 3pm to close out the Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
