July 1, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 8th day of July, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of: June 3rd Special Meeting, June 10th Regular Meeting, June 17th Special Meeting and June 24th Special Meeting.
2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
3. Public comments on Agenda item.
4. Approve Officers Report.
5. Consider and possibly approve the purchase and installation of (2) two air conditioning/heating (HVAC) units for the new sewing rooms at the Agri Life Extension.
6. Discuss and consider approving the recommendation of the Selection Review Committee to award by resolution the negotiation of a contract with Stephens Engineering for engineering services pertaining to the application and implementation, if awarded, of the County’s 2025-2026 Texas Community Development Block Grant Program – Community Development Fund (TxCDBG-CD) grant of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) on behalf of Paxton Water Supply Corporation (WSC) under application number CDV25-0422 and authorizing the execution of a contract.
7. Presentation from Ann Blackwell, Treasurer and Technology Solutions concerning upgrades and security measures for all technology equipment and networks. Discussion and possible approval.
8. Review and discuss the report from Brady Environmental regarding the Old Elementary School and possibly plan for the next step in moving forward on the property.
9. Commissioners’ Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
