Sharp Seeks Election to Justice of the Peace Precinct 3

December 20, 2017 - My name is Deborah Sharp and I am announcing my candidacy for Justice of the Peace in Shelby County.

I am a native of Center, Texas and a graduate of Center High School and Panola Junior College. I am married to Jimmy Sharp (Bimbo). In the past, I have worked for the United States Postal Service as a Sub rural Mail Carrier, and have also been employed by the Texas Department of Corrections - Bradshaw Unit as a Correctional Officer.

Presently, I am employed with FEMA, Department of Homeland Security as a Reservist and Applicant Services Specialist with a position as Housing Crew Lead in Disaster Number 4332. This position supports citizens and first responders and promotes a unified effort to work together, build, sustain, and improve our capacity, I have helped a diverse group of survivors and have met colleagues from different areas of the country.

Giving back to the community as a volunteer is important to me. As such, I have been a volunteer for Senior Citizens Thanksgiving and Christmas in Center and Joaquin, Texas delivery meals. I have volunteered for Community Christian Services in Joaquin, Texas and have assisted in preparing food boxes for distribution to the underprivileged. Most recently, I assisted in a volunteer effort to collect funds for the FEMA Toys for Tots Drive.

As your candidate for the Justice of the Peace, I understand I will be a Judicial Officer and I am prepared to hear cases that span from controversies, to preserving the peace to performing judicial acts. I look forward to being your public servant.

Be assured that I will represent Precinct 3 with honor and integrity and hard work.
