August 22, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 27th day of August, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Approve current payroll.
3. Public comments on agenda item.
4. Approve the Bond for John Pope, Constable Pct 5.
5. Discuss 2025 proposed tax rate, take record vote and schedule Public Hearing.
6. Announce the 2025-2026 Proposed Budget was filed on Wednesday August 13th, 2025 for public inspection in the County Clerk’s office as required by Local Government Code, Section .111.006
7. American Elevator Representative to provide an update on the upgrade status of the Courthouse elevator modification and upgrade.
8. Discuss and possibly approve the transfer of Constable 5 vehicles to other departments within the County.
9. Discuss and possibly approve a Resolution authorizing the Shelby County Sheriff to enter into a Multiple-Use Agreement with TXDOT for the installation and operation of ALPR cameras on the TXDOT right-of-way.
10. Consider and take appropriate action to authorize the advertisement for bids for road maintenance materials for Shelby County for Fiscal Year Ending 2026.
11. Discuss and possibly approve Pct 4 to place on auction a pasture and brush fire fighting skid.
12. COMMISSIONERS’ COURT REPORTS: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
