Aguust 30, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 4th day of September, 2024 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Report from Bobby Daw, Manager of the Shelby County Expo Center.
4. Discuss and possibly accept donations for upgrades to the Shelby County Expo Center Facility.
5. Open sealed bids for Sheriff Office vehicles, review and possibly award bid.
6. Discuss and possibly approve Resolution and Agreement to close CR 4188.
7. Discuss and possibly approve a Work Based Learning Agreement with Workforce Solutions.
8. Discuss and possibly approve a time change for the Sept 11th, 2024 Regular Commissioners Court meeting from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
9. Discuss and possibly approve the Christmas Committee to donate Christmas wreaths and hangers for the windows of the Historic Courthouse.
10. Discuss and possibly approve a request from Tenaha City Mayor to allow PCT 4 Commissioner to trim hedges and brush on two streets within the City of Tenaha with county equipment.
11. Discuss and possibly approve one load of rock for school bus turn around at CR 3801.
12. Discuss and possibly approve extending CR 3427 to construct a turn around.
13. Discuss allowing the Ag Mechanics Organizers to utilize the back awning of the Courthouse on the evening of Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
14. Discuss the proposed pit rules that the Railroad Commissioners are considering.
15. Terry Allen to give an update on the Paxton Solid Waste Pit.
16. Commissioners’ Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
