July 22, 2016 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners' Court will be held on the 25th day of July, 2016 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay monthly expenses.
2. Public Comments on Agenda Items.
3. Consider and possibly approve Precinct 3, Road and Bridge, to repay $200,000 to General Fund and adjust budget accordingly.
4. Consider and possibly approve 2 line item transfers in County Clerk budget.
5. Discuss and possibly approve Resolution in Support of the U.S. Highway 96 Expansion Coalition.
6. Julianna Gonzales to request help maintaining Private Road 106 in Tenaha.
7. Sherry Riley to give a report on business at the Veterans' Service Office and Historic Courthouse.
8. Discuss and possibly take action to retain or remove local optional fees for Chapter 502 of the Transportation Code for the Calendar Year 2017.
9. Tax Assessor-Collector Continuing Education Transcript to be presented to the Court for evidence of compliance with Texas Property Tax Code Sec 6:231(d). No action needed.
10. Debora Riley to discuss and possibly take action to end or renew contract with Computer Information Concepts.
11. Consider adopting the Declaration of Disaster and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning.
12. Consider and approve the renewal of the group health plan for the 2017 Plan Year.
