Shelby County Fit 5K Fun Run and Walk

March 11, 2016 - Dust off those walking or running shoes and join the 2016 class of Step Up and Scale Down participants as we “Walk Across Texas.”  This 5K Fun Run and Walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19 at the Center Park pond pavilion behind the baseball fields with registration open beginning at 7:15 a.m. 

Park in the Panola College parking lot behind Center High School, register for the event, and walk down to the pavilion for the kick-off.  A free pedometer will be provided to the first 25 participants to sign-in at the event.  Water breaks will take place before the race and midway through the event.

Entry fee is a minimum of five cans or other non-perishable food products per person which will be given to the Shelby County Outreach Ministries food pantry.  The event is open to the public, both adult and youth.
