Shelbyville Dragon Band
October 30, 2024 - Shelby County was well represented at the UIL State Military Marching Band Contest held at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. Both the Shelbyville Dragon Band and the Timpson Bear Band advanced to the finals, showcasing their incredible talent and dedication.
Timpson Bear Band
The Timpson Bear Band secured an impressive 5th place, earning the title of "State Finalist," while the Shelbyville Dragon Band achieved a remarkable 2nd place finish, bringing home the prestigious "Silver State Medalist" honor.
Center Roughrider Band
Additionally, the Center Roughrider Band had the opportunity to march in the preliminaries, showcasing their skills and passion for music, even though they did not advance to the finals.
This achievement highlights the hard work and commitment of all the students involved. We are proud of each and every band member for their dedication to the art of music and their exceptional performances at this prestigious event. Congratulations to all!
