March 11, 2026 - On Monday, March 9th, the Juvenile Probation Department worked with The Family Crisis Center of East Texas to host a Teen Dating Violence Presentation at the Shelby County Extension Office. Teens learned about warning signs of unhealthy relationships, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, and harassment through texts and social media. The presentation also shared resources for teens and families who may need help.

Anyone experiencing teen dating violence can call The Family Crisis Center 24-hour domestic violence and sexual assault hotline at 1-800-828-SAFE (7233) or text 936-552-9256.
