May 28, 2024 - (Update - 11:40am): At 10:56am CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Mansfield to 9 miles southeast of Logansport to near Neuville. Movement was east at 35 mph.

Hazard: Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include: Center, Mansfield, Milam, Coushatta, Zwolle, Converse, Patroon, Bland Lake, Neuville, Shelbyville, Oak Grove, Pleasant Hill, Huxley, South Mansfield, Noble, Stanley, Carmel, Lake End, Jericho, and Belmont.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 PM CDT for eastern Texas.

(Update - 10:57am): The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Eastern Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas, Southwestern Shelby County in eastern Texas, Eastern Angelina County in eastern Texas, San Augustine County in eastern Texas, Western Sabine County in eastern Texas until 11:30am CDT.

At 10:44am CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Martinsville to near Etoile to 7 miles southeast of Huntington, moving east at 35 mph.

Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

At 9:27am CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Clarksville City to near Henderson to near Douglass, moving east at 40 mph.

Hazard: 70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
