August 27, 2018 - Two Shelbyville High School graduates have been selected as Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF) scholarship recipients for 2018.
- Ty Fox received the John Porter King, Jr. Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
- Justin Harbison received the Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd T. Jones Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,500.
TILF provides scholarships to students who excel in UIL academic contests. A full listing of students across the state receiving awards can be found at http://tilfoundation.org/news-and-events/recipients/. TILF awarded 293 new and 196 continuing scholarships this year totaling nearly $1 million.
Trudy Richards, Executive Director TILF said, “Our thanks go out to Shelbyville ISD and your UIL coaches and coordinators for supporting learning through rigorous academic competition. Without your dedication and encouragement, these students wouldn't have come so far.”
