Sparks Receives Scholarship from Sheriff's Association of Texas

Caleigh is a Kinesiology major at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. She is the daughter of Shad Sparks, Shelby County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy and Sandy Sparks.

The Texas Peacemaker Scholarship was established to honor a law enforcement professional who has exemplified an extraordinary devotion to the public good and community, and whose approach to law enforcement maintains order and justice. The scholarship was established by the Dippel family to honor the late Tieman H. Dippel, who served as Sheriff of Washington County from November 5, 1940 to January 1, 1961.
