Tatum HS falls 11-3 at the hands of​ ​CHS Roughriders

March 30, 2016 - CHS Roughriders beat Tatum HS on Tuesday 11-3 in seven innings.

CHS Roughriders scored four runs in the fifth on an RBI triple by Christian Lee, a sacrifice fly by Michael Ray, a passed ball, and an error.

Dalton Alexander boosted his batting average thanks to a  3-4 day at the plate to pace CHS Roughriders. He singled in the first, third, and doubled in the seventh inning.

Clay Snider recorded the win for CHS Roughriders. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

CJ Vandre ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out four.

CHS Roughriders stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring one run on an RBI single by Lee.

CHS Roughriders increased its lead with two runs in the third. Brett Clark doubled, scoring Alexander to start the inning. That was followed up by Lee's single, bringing home Devin Randle, who ran for Clark.
