May 8, 2025 (More Photos) - Shelby County Elementary Teacher of the Year was announced to be Haley Woodfin and the Shelby County Secondary Teacher of the Year was announced to be Anita Williams at the Teacher Appreciation reception on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Campus teachers from Center, Excelsior, Shelbyville, Tenaha, and Timpson were all celebrated during the reception hosted by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. Shelbyville teachers were recognized first due to the school having two teams in the playoffs, boys varsity baseball and girls varsity softball. Once all the teachers from each campus were recognized and congratulated, Mary Tinkle presented the Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year.
