Terry Scull Announces Candidacy for City of Center At-Large Council Member

October 12, 2016 - My name is Terry Scull and I am running for 1 of 2 City of Center At-Large Council Member positions. I was reared in Tenaha by my parents, Erma and John Scull. After graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University I worked in Dallas for six years during which time I married my wife of 19 years, Alison Bounds Scull. In June of 2000 Alison and I moved to Center and I started working at Scull Timber Company, Inc. in Tenaha and Alison taught school at Center Elementary School in the special education department. Alison and I have three daughters, Caroline, Sarah and Laura Anne. Our family attends First Baptist Church Center.

I want to serve as a council member for the same reasons as described above, FAMILY! As you can see, I have been a part of Shelby County and Center, TX since birth. I am fortunate to have married a 5th generation Center girl, Class of ’92. What a wonderful blessing it would be to have my children and yours want to and have the opportunity to stay or return to Center as adults. Center is a wonderful, growing, developing city I am proud to call my home. I want to be a part of the continued progress here in Center through improved infrastructure, youth programs, parks, economic development and community respect.

In the past, I have served as President of Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Center Noon Lions Club. I am also a member of the Center Band Boosters and serve on the Roughrider Scholarship Foundation Board of Trustees. I would be proud to serve the citizens of Center as council member.

Thank you,
Terry Scull
