F.L. Moffett's "Alex’s Lemonade Stand" Fundraiser Raises Over $1,600

April 22, 2025 - F.L. Moffett second grade students participated in the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the third year in a row on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Their goal was to raise $1,000 and they squeezed in over $1,600.

Tables were set up at the north entrance to the campus with the students ready to sell cups of lemonade to customers as they raised funds for their cause.

Many of the students held signs they had made advertising their lemonade and thanking those that contribute.

According to the foundation's website, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was formed to help fight childhood cancer, and its founder was four years old when she told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in her family’s front yard. While fighting her own cancer, the intent was of giving the money raised to doctors to help them find a cure for childhood cancers.
