October 30, 2024 - The Timpson Bear Band advanced to the Finals of the UIL State Military Marching Contest this morning, October 29, 2024. The band performed at 11am in the Prelims round of 1A/2A contest at McLane Stadium, Baylor University, Waco, Texas.
Timpson was one of 11 bands to compete: Price Carlisle, Shelbyville, Hawkins, Gladewater Union Grove, Pineland West Sabine, Beckville, Hemphill, Ore City, Carleton, and Overton. Timpson and Shelbyville were among the five bands selected to advance to finals.
The Bear Band will perform in the Finals at 7:15pm tonight following the Dragon Band performance at 7pm.
