October 17, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the governing body of the City of Timpson will be held on the 22nd day of October 2024 at 5:15pm at the Timpson Volunteer Fire Dept, 305 Jacob St., Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:
1. Discuss and possibly take action: Accept resignation of City Secretary effective October 31, 2024. Allow mayor to pay out any PTO balance due, with leaving in good standing.
2. Discuss and possibly take action: Allow mayor to post job opening and accept resumes, schedule interviews and present candidates at a scheduled or special meeting.
3. Discuss and possibly take action: Discuss removing City Secretary from bank accounts effective November 1, 2024.
4. Adjourn.
The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda whenever it is considered necessary and is legally justified under the Open Meetings Act.
