Timpson Elementary Agents For Change

April 14, 2015 - On Monday, April 13th Mrs. Sparks, elementary counselor, took a representative group of Agents for Change to present the program at the Monthly Delta Gamma meeting.

Delta Gamma is the Shelby County, Sabine County, and San Augustine County chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International which is an organization for key women educators.

Mrs. Sparks is a member of this chapter and they asked for her to bring her Agents for Change to talk about the organization and what they do.

Agents for Change has approximately 80 members, so a representative group was selected to present the program. 17 Agents attended the meeting where they were fed supper, joined in the annual birthday celebration, and presented the monthly program.

The Agents told the Delta Gamma members what Agents for Change is all about, how the group was started, and all the community service projects they participate in each year. The Agents did a wonderful job with the presentation and it was well received by everyone. At the end of the presentation, Fannie Watson, chapter president, presented the Agents for Change a beautiful gift box with a cash donation to be used to continue the group’s community service. These students did an outstanding job and made Timpson Elementary proud
