Timpson Frontier Days Celebrates 60 Years This Weekend

June 30, 2022 - Timpson Frontier Days presented by Timpson Area Chamber of Commerce "Timpson, where you can still dance in the streets."

The Timpson Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the schedule for Timpson Frontier Days as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.

The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, June 30
Carnival starts at 5pm
Enjoy Texas amusements
Party in the streets at 6pm in the streets under the tent with DJ Berio

Friday, July 1
Carnival starts at 5pm
Gospel concert at First Baptist Church starts at 6:30pm, tickets $10 sold at the door
Calvary Boys / Southern Plainsmen Quartet
Carnival starts at 5pm
Downtown entertainment in the streets starts at 7pm to 9pm
Dancing in the streets provided by DJ starts at 7pm - 10pm

Saturday, July 2
Parade line up starts at 9am in front of Timpson High School
Parade starts at 10am
Opening ceremonies, welcome, prayer 11am, including introduction of guests, food and craft booths open
Entertainment throughout the day
Washer pitching starts after parade in SoSo Park
The Amazing David Wonders, balloon art, magic shows, carnival, Mocorodo Band, and entertainment all during the day
Timpson's twirlers and cheerleaders perform at 7pm
Cake auction at 8pm
Band starts and performs until 11pm
Headline entertainment: Steve Murray band, including past lead singer for Perfect Strangers
With hometown celebrity Jason Pate on the drums

Sunday, July 3
Community service downtown under the tent starts at 6pm
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy worshipping Our Lord together with service and music by Mt. Olive Baptist Church, message: Fred Wilcox
A community that can worship together can live together

All through the festival, Timpson Volunteer Ambulance Service will be utilizing a side-by-side on loan to them by Hopkins Wrecker Service.
