November 3, 2025 - Timpson High School sophomore Madison Grisby placed 6th in the 2 Miles race at the UIL 2A State Cross Country Championships out of 150 runners held this past Saturday in Round Rock, Texas. Grisby's total time was 11:53.10 which was less than 11 seconds off from winning bronze. Her time at the State meet also set a personal record.
This is Grisby's second year to advance to state competition. Her freshman year she placed 64th with a time of 13:21.9 which at the time was a season record for her.
On her 2025 journey to state she won the silver medal at the UIL Region III 2A-6A Championship meet which was held in October in Huntsville.
