Truck Lands in Ditch After Hurst Street Crash

November 22, 2016 - A pickup truck involved in a crash on Hurst Street ended up in a ditch across from Walmart on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

According to Center Police Officer Jake Gross, at 10:50am a call was received about a possible two-vehicle crash in front of Walmart at the 800 block of Hurst Street.

A grey 2012 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Zelma Dearing, 85, with passenger Charles Dearing, 90, both of Center attempted to exit the Walmart parking lot and struck an unknown vehicle.

The Colorado continued into the ditch in front of Napa Auto Parts at Foster Street where it came to rest while the second vehicle involved fled the scene and is being sought.

Mr. and Mrs. Dearing received minor cuts and bruises; however, they refused treatment by ACE EMS.

No citations have been issued at this time.
