July 30, 2020 - Tyson Foods in Center was targeted by vandals Wednesday, July 29, 2020, as the sign in front of the processing facility was defaced in the morning.
The Center Police Department began an investigation at that time. Later during the afternoon, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) took credit for the act and posted video of someone dressed as a devil in red holding a trident while spraying "Hell" on the sign.
Tyson Foods representatives were quickly able to cover the sign and remove the graffiti.
