September 4, 2026 - US Highway 96 North at the intersection of CR 4360 was the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving a truck tractor.
Emergency personnel responded to the incident location on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at around 2:30pm.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Matt Chandler, a white 2013 Kenworth truck driven by Jonathan Fountain, 32, was traveling north in the inside lane of US 96 when he failed to maintain a single lane and skidded across the roadway through a guardrail where the truck came to rest.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Fountain was issued a citation for the offense of fail to maintain a single lane.
Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and assisted with traffic control. TxDOT personnel also arrived to address the damaged guardrail.
