In an effort to encourage the community to get vaccinated, Nacogdoches Medical Center leaders have teamed up with Pilgrim’s Pride,  Stephen F. Austin State University School of Nursing, the City and County of Nacogdoches and JBS Foods to sponsor a Vaccine Clinic where attendees can get a chance at winning free meat (beef, pork and chicken) for an entire year.

When: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021
Where: C.L. Simon Recreation Center, 1112 North Street, Nacogdoches, TX 75961

Any unvaccinated person 21 years of age or older who gets their first vaccine at the August 12 clinic or any JBS USA or Pilgrim’s-sponsored vaccination clinic is eligible for the chance to win free beef, pork and chicken for the next year.

Jeff Patterson, CEO of Nacogdoches Medical Center, said he is proud the hospital can be a part of an event that will help keep their community safe.

“As a community built on care, our hospital’s No. 1 priority is the health and safety of our patients and our citizens,” Patterson said. “Science shows that the vaccines in the U.S. can help save lives and prevent severe illness and hospitalization,” he said. “This vaccine clinic is a unique and fun opportunity to help keep people safe but also possibly send someone home with what could make many nutritious meals for a whole year. Together, with our partners, we are working to keep our community strong and healthy,” Patterson added.
