This Week At The Patricia Huffman Smith NASA Museum “Remembering Columbia”

November 17, 2015 - This week at the Museum we want to thank Todd Hellner for coming to the Museum to speak on behalf of NASA to several schools, including Martinsville, West Sabine, and Hemphill ISD. We also want to thank Michael Hare for connecting with us from NASA virtually in our classroom with these students. We look forward to many more events like this happening at the Museum and we hope that you and or your school can participate.

We are also looking forward to hosting a paint party with The Happy Easel sometimes soon. So, keep that in mind and as soon as we have more details we will make sure the public gets them as well.

We hope that you had a Happy Halloween and looking forward to a Happy Thanksgiving!

This week we want to thank all of our visitors locally and out of state as well. We look forward to seeing you soon at the museum. There are so many things you can see here at the Museum that you will not see in any other Museum. We also have an amazing gift shop full of really cool gifts, such as 3D space puzzles, space suit back packs, inflatable space shuttles, NASA ties & golf balls, space ice cream and food too, coffee mugs and drinking glasses. We also have a wide selection of shirts, hats and apparel. Not to mention all of the different books and memorabilia that we have as well. So come out today and get your personal tour and check out our gift shop and all that our museum has to offer. We are looking forward to many schools taking advantage of our Digital Learning Network that allows us to connect virtually with NASA. Nasa can teach on lessons such as microgravity, food in space, erosion, weather, the solar system, robots, rovers, and so much more. Our hours at the museum are changing effective immediately. We will now be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
