March 9, 2019 - Ernestine Cloudy Williams just turned 60 in January 2019 but she has made great contributions in her lifetime. She is married to CW5 Retired Anthony Williams, who served about 30 years of service and won many awards. They presently live in Killeen, Texas.
Ernestine finished school at Center High School and went to Wiley College to obtain her Sociology Degree and later earned an associate degree in Child Development, which gave her knowledge and the desire to own her own school. So proud of this Center product who taught in both public and private schools before she founded New Beginnings Christian Academy, a non-profit organization in 1999. Later she opened New Beginnings Daycare. She was Cofounder and Vice President of Defense Logistics Management Group, a multi million dollar corporation where they employed people through out the US and overseas.
Her two daughters felt the importance of education through the lives of their parents. Dr. Dedra Crawford received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University and Ashley has her Nursing degree and is a Labor and Delivery RN who now resides in California.
There was no stopping for Ernestine after her daughters finished their schooling. She sold the school and retired making her available for traveling to Houston for her grandson's activities; to Center to visit her mother Lucille Cloudy; to different cities to attend church where her brothers are preachers; and wherever she wants to go with her spouse. Ernestine has made a great impact to education, culture, and the society.
