June 9, 2020 - East Texas Communities Foundation has named Center High School graduates Taylor Burch, Benjamin Galindo and Mallory Fausett as recipients of the John Harris Scholarship.
Miss Burch is attending Panola College in the fall focusing on a career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Miss Burch was active in tennis, FFA, National Honor Society and the Junior Chamber of Commerce as a student at Center High School.
February 28, 2020 - East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF) staff, donors and board members gathered to celebrate a $50,000 grant to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County on Monday morning. With this award, ETCF has now distributed more than $100,000,000 in cumulative grants over the course of 30 years.
December 27, 2019 - East Texas Communities Foundation is currently accepting applications from East Texas students for seventy scholarships to be awarded for the 2020-2021 academic year. The deadline for submission varies and is clearly marked on the applications.
September 5, 2019 - Women have traditionally invested in their communities by volunteering, donating financial resources and actively managing area nonprofits. Recognizing this impact, three local organizations have come together to host an event focused on the power of women’s philanthropy.
The inaugural Women’s Philanthropy Summit will be held Thursday, September 19th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Rose Heights Community Life Center located at 2110 Old Omen Road in Tyler.
