Other counties included in this watch are as follows: Panola, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Red River, Rusk, Titus, and Upshur.

Thunderstorms will increase in coverage and intensity later this afternoon through tonight as an upper level trough advances east onto the plains and mid south region.
April 30, 2016 - A Flash Flood watch is in effect until 7am Sunday morning for Shelby County as of 5:56am Saturday, April 30, 2016.
A line of strong and occasional severe thunderstorms continues to move northeast across much of southeast and southern Arkansas, Northeast Louisiana, and much of East Texas. A few storms could become severe. In addition, heavy rainfall will also be possible. Through 7am, locations that may be affected will generally be east of a line from Jacksonville, Texas to De Queen Arkansas.

April 29, 2016 - Significant weather advisory for Central Angelina, San Augustine, Southeastern Nacogdoches and Shelby Counties until 9:30pm CDT.
At 8:41pm CDT, doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Etoile or 15 miles northeast of Lufkin moving northeast at 85mph. Dime size hail and winds in excess of 30mph will be possible with this storm.

April 27, 2016 - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Shelby County, Southeastern Panola County and Northeastern San Augustine County until 6:30am. At 5:30am CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Center.
April 27, 2016 - A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 12pm CDT April 27, 2016 for the following counties: Shelby, San Augustine, Sabine, Angelina, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Newton, Orange, Tyler.
Strong gusty winds, dangerous lightning, hail, and even isolated tornadoes are possible with stronger storms.

April 18, 2016 - The National Weather Service has issued an Areal Flood Advisory on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 9:56am until 1:00pm.
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Sabine County in Eastern Texas, Panola County in northeastern Texas, San Augustine County in Eastern Texas, and Shelby County in Eastern Texas.
At 9:55am, CDT, doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain has already fallen.
