Panola College Continuing Education Sets Fall Schedule

August 23, 2016 - Senior citizens who want to learn more about computer security and privacy issues may want to sign up for CyberSafe, a free class set for Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 6-7 on the Panola College campus in Carthage. The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday.

This class is just one of an array of course offerings geared to the community that are on the fall Continuing Education schedule.

Panola College to Host Lunchbox Lecture, Dr. Alexander Korniyenko Remembers 9/11

August 17, 2016 - The M.P. Baker Library will host Remembering 9/11with special speaker Dr. Alex Korniyenko on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Murphy-Payne Community rooms of the library. Dr. Korniyenko is a cardiologist with Tyler Cardiovascular Consultants. He is affiliated with six hospitals in the East Texas area and visits Carthage regularly to see patients at the local ETMC offices. Dr. Korniyenko began his medical career as an EMT with the New York City Fire Department.

Panola College Roy Monk Building Ribbon Cutting & Tour

August 8, 2016 - On August 18, 2016, Panola County Chamber of Commerce, Panola College Board of Trustees and community members will gather to enjoy refreshments and perform a ribbon cutting at 10:00 am for Panola College’s newly renovated Roy Monk Building. The Roy Monk Building was originally built in 1965, and at that time the Building featured a lecture hall, labs, classrooms, and eight faculty offices.
