Area Students Among Sam Houston State University Spring 2023 Graduates

May 31, 2023 - Two local area students received degrees during the 2023 Spring semester at Sam Houston State University.

Katelyn Bolton, of Center and a 2019 graduate of Center HS, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Victim Studies with Cum Laude honors.

Christian Berry, of Timpson and a 2021 graduate of Timpson HS, received a Bachelor of Business Admin in Accounting.

Sam Houston State University Recognizes Five Local Students on Fall 2022 Dean's List

January 24, 2023 - The students listed on the Dean's List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.

Timpson Graduate Accepted to the Osteopathic Medicine Program

August 9, 2022 - The Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine announces Connor Timmons, a 2018 Graduate of Timpson High School, is the newest cohort of students accepted to the Osteopathic Medicine, DO program in Conroe, Texas.

The esteemed student doctors represent the college’s second cohort, scheduled to complete their degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in 2026.

 

Two Center Locals on Sam Houston State University Spring 2022 President's Honor Roll

June 21, 2022 - Two students from Center were listed on the President's Honor Roll at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The students are undergraduates who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours. The university would like to recognize the Katelyn Bolton and Kailen Randle for earning the honor for the Spring 2022 semester.

Four Shelby County Locals on Sam Houston State University Spring 2022 Dean's List

June 21, 2022 - Four students from Shelby County were listed on the Dean's List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The students are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours. Vanessa Renteria Spring 2022 Graduate at Sam Houston State University

June 14, 2022 - Vanessa Renteria-Lopez received her SSP - Specialist, School Psychology degree during the 2022 Spring semester at Sam Houston State University.

Vanessa is a 2015 Center High School honors graduate. In 2016 she was inducted into the Phi Beta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society while attending Panola College. At Stephen F. Austin State University she was named on the Dean's List multiple times before graduating with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
