Center Tennis Teams Take Home District 20 Title

April 4, 2019 - Center Tennis rules the district and takes home the overall boys and girls District 20 Title.

The first and second place finishers will advance to the Regional Tournament held at Bryan High School on April 17-18.

The boys and girls Singles and Doubles brackets were completed and the Mixed Doubles bracket will have one match remaining to determine the 2nd and 3rd place teams.

Center Tennis Team Competes in Region 3 Tennis Quarterfinals

October 23, 2018 - The Center Tennis Team traveled to Henderson yesterday, October 22nd to meet Palestine for the Region 3 Team Tennis Quarterfinals. 

The match up would begin with 3 boys doubles and 3 girls doubles match ups in which the Riders would come out ahead 5-1. The mixed doubles match would go on next as well as the Line 1, 2 and 3 singles match ups.

The Riders would lose a hard fought mixed doubles and line 1 girls singles match but would pull the rest of the match ups to win 10 matches to Palestine 3. The remaining match ups did not finish.

Center HS Tennis Team Defeats Rusk in Playoff Run

October 17, 2018 - The Center HS tennis team began its playoff run this week by defeating the Rusk Eagles in the BiDistrict round 10-0 before the rain set in. The Riders needed to complete 10 match wins for it to become official and with the rain closing in they were able to sweep their matches in near record time.  

The Riders will compete in the Area round Thursday, October 18 vs Gatesville at Madisonville with the winner advancing to the Region Quarterfinals Monday, October 22.

Center Tennis Improves Team Tennis Record to 6-2

September 17, 2018 - The Riders met Wills Point on Thursday 9/13 in Hallsville to compete against the defending Region 2 Champions from 2017.

The Riders came out ahead 5-2 in doubles and never looked back with an overall team score of 14-5 after singles.

Saturday 9/15 the Riders met Bullard in Jacksonville and continued their momentum from Thursday with a near shut out. 17-2

Center will play host to another 4A state ranked team this Tuesday 9/18 when the Kilgore Bulldogs come to town. Doubles will start at approximately 3:45 with singles to follow.

Varsity Tennis Team Improves to 4-1 Record

August 27, 2018 - The Varsity tennis team improves to 4-1 record.

The Riders traveled to Whitehouse Friday, August 24 and faced their toughest competition thus far. Center lost 12-7 to the Wildcats, but played a number of close matches that could have gone either way.

Center then played in their first home match Saturday, August 25 vs Jacksonville. The Riders came out on a mission after the Whitehouse loss and dominated most of the matches and pulled out all of the close matches for a 17-2 win.
