July 20, 2022 - The next Timpson Food for Thought Food Bank distribution is Friday, July 22, 2022. The distribution time and place is the same, 9am to 11am at First Baptist Church, Timpson.

Drive Through pickup starts in the First Baptist Church parking lot.

The change in schedule in distribution is for July only!

From the Desk of Mayor Debra Smith: PD Closing

March 2, 2021 - On March 1, 2021 in a Special Meeting the members of the Timpson City Council voted, upon my recommendation, to close the City of Timpson Police Department. The vote passed 3 for and 1 against, with one council member absent. Following the vote to close the department the council voted on the Reduction in Force for the last remaining police department employee, Chief of Police Kent Graham, effective March 4, 2021. This vote passed 4 voting to RIF Chief Graham and none opposed.

Timpson Food for Thought Pantry, Senior Box Program

April 22, 2020 - Timpson Food for Thought Panty April distribution is Friday, April 24th from 9am until 11:30am for a drive through distribution at 715 North 2nd Street in front of First Baptist Church.

Timpson City Hall Closed Tuesday; Council Meeting Rescheduled

January 16, 2017 - City of Timpson Mayor Debra Smith announces the Timpson city council meeting for Tuesday is cancelled and rescheduled for Friday, January 19, 2018 at 5:30pm. City Hall will be closed Tuesday as well.

Timpson FBC Hosting Baccalaureate Service for HS Seniors

May 4, 2017 - On Sunday, May 7, First Baptist Church will again host the Baccalaureate Service for the Timpson High School Seniors, their families, and the community at 6:00pm.

Afterwards there will be a reception for all. Please make plans to attend. We will provide finger foods, chips, dips, desserts, etc.

Class of 2017 - Please make every effort to attend so we may recognize you for your achievement. All seniors are asked to meet in the First Baptist Church's activity building at 5:30pm for insturctions and to put on your cap and gown.

Timpson Food for Thought Food Bank Distribution Date Changed

April 11, 2016 - Timpson Food for Thought Food Bank Distribution will not be this FRIDAY, APRIL 15th (normally 3rd Friday). For April only the distribution will be changed to Friday, April 29th beginning at 10 am and going until noon.
