September 14, 2020 - Shelby County’s Community of Huxley honored a strong community advocate on Saturday September 12, 2020 with a graveside service for Prentice Hendricks. This man lived in the community all 78-plus years of his life.

City of Huxley Public Notice to Boil Water Effective June 27, 2018 has been rescended
June 27, 2018 - Due to low chlorine residuals, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required the City of Huxley water system PWS 2100019 to notify customers of the need to boil their water in the Oakdale Community, English Bay and Brinson Marina areas prior to consumption.
October 3, 2017 - The City of Huxley Public Water System, PWS #2100019, will be conducting water system maintenance beginning Sunday, October 8, 2017 consisting of a free chlorine disinfection burnout of our distribution system. This burnout will continue for the month of October and end November 6, 2017.
This is a routine maintenance procedure performed to help reduce the potential for unstable water conditions and insure high quality of water delivery to our customers.

August 3, 2016 - (Update): Testing has been completed and the Boil Water Notice for Possum Trot, Oakdale, and New Harmony areas is lifted.
It is no longer necessary to boil the water prior to consumption.
