Shelbyville ISD Designates September 26th Lone Star Cup Day

September 26, 2025, has been designated as Shelbyville ISD’s Lone Star Cup Day. The UIL Lone Star Cup is awarded annually to six high schools, one in each of the six UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A), based on their team performance in district and state championships. The winning school in each classification receives the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship. Since its inception in 1998, less than 5% of all high schools in the state of Texas have managed to ever win the Lone Star Cup.

Shelbyville ISD Announces CEP Provides Free Breakfast, Lunch for All Students

July 25, 2025 - The Shelbyville ISD announced today it will continue its policy to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2025-26 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
