June 8, 2022 - In accordance with 34 CFR 300.573 Destruction of Information, Shelbyville ISD Special Services will destroy the special education records of students whose last date of service was prior to 2016. This destruction of records will take place on or after August 1, 2022.
April 27, 2022 - It’s almost time… so mark your calendars for Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11am for the Sardis Cemetery Homecoming fish fry fundraiser. We will have the best catfish around! The plates have lots of fried catfish, French fries, the very best pinto beans, (made by Melba Rodgers) and all the fixings… plus homemade desserts. Lick your fingers good eating for $10 a plate!
April 28, 2021 - The annual Sardis Cemetery Homecoming and Fish Fry will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 beginning at 11 AM. Catfish plates with all the trimmings will be available for $10 per plate. All proceeds will benefit the upkeep of the cemetery and grounds. We are encouraging our young folks to get involved.
April 17, 2020 - Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic and Gov. Abbott's order for continued Social Distancing we will NOT be able to gather for our Annual Homecoming and Fish Fry on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

October 28, 2019 - Shelbyville First Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Fish Fry and Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 6pm until 8pm.
October 1, 2019 - Student led, See You At The Pole was held on September 25th at the Shelbyville ISD flag pole. Students prayed for our schools, our community and our country.
July 9, 2019 - It's a reunion at Shelbyville High School for all ex-basketball players (boys and girls) who were coached by Joe Tom Schillings, J.W. Cartwright, Daszella Moore, or Lester Belrose during the years between 1966 and 2004.
The reunion is Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 1pm until 5pm in the Shelbyville HS Cafeteria. Contribution of $10 per person. Lunch will be served and the dress is casual. No alcohol, tobacco, or fire arms.
June 28, 2019 - Gracie Leach and Kendall Murry have been chosen to audition in Los Angeles in front of 20 talent agencies. The girls will have professional training before the huge showcase event on August 4, 2019. Your support is greatly appreciated.
April 26, 2019 - Sardis Cemetery Homecoming and Fish Fry fundraiser will be Saturday, May 4, 2019. Catfish plates will be sold for $8.00 each. Fish Fry begins at 11:00 AM until we are out. Annual Business meeting and Gospel Singing will immediately follow the Fish Fry. Donations are welcomed. The upkeep of the cemetery is done with these donations. If you are unable to attend the fish fry please mail your donation to Sardis Cemetery, 6034 FM 414, Center, Texas 75935. Please make plans to come and pay tribute to all the loved ones that are buried here.
