March 6, 2020 - Please be advised that jury summons for Monday, March 9, 2020, in the 123rd Judicial District Court, Shelby County, Texas, has been cancelled. Those summoned need not appear.  

January 15, 2018 - To all potential jurors summoned to appear in the County Court at Law, Panola County, Texas, on Tuesday, January 16, please report on Wednesday, January 17 at 9:00am to the 123rd Judicial District Courtroom on the 1st Floor of the Judicial Annex. September 1, 2016 - The DePriest family selected Joe Hicks as this year's recipient of the Cole DePriest Award. Joe exhibits excellent sportsmanship and always supports and encourages his fellow contestants.

June 24, 2016 - The Panola County Republican Women will host is fundraiser this Saturday, June 25.  Rep. Louie Gohmert will be the keynote speaker.  Doors open at 5.  Tickets are $35 at the door. Musical Entertainment will be by Mark Harris and Rodney Wotten. The silent auction will start at 5 pm, dinner will start at 6pm and at 7pm the live auction will begin. Please join us at the Carthage Civic Center (1702 S Adams Street) for a great time. 

May 26, 2016 - I would like to thank the residents of Shelby and Panola counties for electing me to serve as District Judge of the 123rd Judicial District Court. I am overwhelmed by your support and humbled to serve each of you. As shown in my hard-fought campaign, I am a hard worker and resilient. I will work hard for you as your District Judge.
