November 4, 2015 - Mike Bordelon, who owns and operates Heavenly Honey Apiary on Toledo Bend Lake at Huxley, was the guest speaker for the November 3 Lakes Area beekeepers' Association meeting in San Augustine.
Using a power point presentation, he discussed preparing and caring for hives during the winter.
October 22, 2015 - Mike Bordelon, who owns and operates Bordelon Bees Heavenly Honey Apiary on Toledo Bend Lake, presented a program "So You Want to Be a Beekeeper" to the Shelby County Beekeepers Club at their October 21 meeting.
August 17, 2015 - A special mass was celebrated August 16 at St. Therese Catholic Church in honor of Mike and Linda Bordelon's 50th wedding anniversary. Fr. Jose Luis Vidarte gave special blessings for continued years of good health in God's grace.
August 14, 2015 - Mike Bordelon demonstrated various methods of raising queen bees and showed a video on the bullet and powder method at the August 12 Shelby County Bee Club.
June 18, 2015 - Mike Bordelon demonstrated various methods of making splits in hives in order to increase the number of hives for honey bees, to the Shelby County Beekeepers Club at their June meeting.
May 20, 2015 - Marie Kocyan, Program Chair, and Linda Bordelon, Secretary of the Pineywoods Beekeepers Association presented the May program to 46 members and guests in Lufkin.
