October 22, 2015 - Mike Bordelon, who owns and operates Bordelon Bees Heavenly Honey Apiary on Toledo Bend Lake, presented a program "So You Want to Be a Beekeeper" to the Shelby County Beekeepers Club at their October 21 meeting.

August 14, 2015 - Mike Bordelon demonstrated various methods of raising queen bees and showed a video on the bullet and powder method at the August 12 Shelby County Bee Club.

June 18, 2015 - Mike Bordelon demonstrated various methods of making splits in hives in order to increase the number of hives for honey bees, to the Shelby County Beekeepers Club at their June meeting.

March 30, 2015 - Local beekeepers Mike and Linda Bordelon, members of the Pineywoods Beekeepers Association, explained basic equipment for beekeepers, bee facts, and plants, flowers, and trees that bees love at the San Augustine Gala Garden Fair on March 28th which was hosted by the San Augustine Garden Club.

January 23, 2015 - Beekeepers Mike and Linda Bordelon who own and operate Heavenly Honey Apiary on Toledo Bend Lake and are members of the Pineywoods Beekeepers Association, explained basic equipment for beekeepers, bee facts, and plants, flowers, and trees that bees love to the San Augustine Rotary Club at their Jan. 21 meeting. Honey and Creamed Honey door prizes were won by William Johnson and Dr. Floyd Hennan.
