April DRT Meeting

April 8, 2021 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet Saturday, April 10, at 10am at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. The Sons of the the Republic of Texas will meet at the same time. Our program will be given by the members of the JJE Gibson Children of the Republic of Texas. Plans for the upcoming DRT Convention in San Antonio will be discussed and ideas for future fundraisers will be presented. Chapter officers will be hostesses for the spring brunch. Social distancing will be observed and masks are encouraged.

DRT/SRT Meeting This Saturday

March 12, 2021 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet this Saturday, March 13, at 10am at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center.

As a partial return to normalcy, hostesses will furnish our lunch. We are asking to continue masks and social distancing. The program will be on March: Texas History Month.

The Gateway to Texas Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas will join us for opening ceremonies and the program, then have their business meeting while the DRT conducts their business.

DRT William Carroll Crawford Chapter to Meet Mar. 14th

March 11, 2020 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10am at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. The program will be on Texas History Month and the March Honor Days. Recipients for the 2020 Chapter scholarships from Shelby County high schools will be selected during the meeting. Plans Underway for Semi-Annual Book Sale

February 12, 2015 - Members of the Friends of the Library organization of the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library met recently to begin plans for the semi-annual book sale and to elect 2015-2016 officers. Money raised by the group is used to help purchase books and materials for the library and to support other library projects. The library is a private foundation library, meaning it relies on donations and grants to provide quality library services. If you would like to be part of this effort call the library at 598-5522 and ask for information on FOL membership.
