March 13, 2020 - Excelsior ISD is actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The Texas Education Agency has provided guidelines and procedures for determining how to address the issue.
We plan to take all necessary and appropriate steps to responsibly address the situation. We have taken the opportunity during spring break to clean and disinfect all desks, tables, door handles, lockers, buses, etc.
August 21, 2019 - Excelsior ISD Meet the Teacher will be Thursday, August 22nd from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Students may bring their school supplies to leave in the classroom.
July 30, 2019 - Excelsior ISD has released the school supply lists for the upcoming school year. Meet the teacher will be on August 22nd. Students may bring school supplies to meet the teacher to leave in the classroom.
July 29, 2019 - The Excelsior Independent School District announced today it will continue its policy to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2019-2020 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
March 6, 2019 - Excelsior ISD board of trustees will hold a public hearing during their regular monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019. The 2017-18 Annual Performance Report/TAPR will be discussed during the hearing and input from the community, parents, taxpayers and general public are welcomed.
September 27, 2018 - Excelsior ISD is dismissing school at 1:30 p.m. today (September 27) due to no water. Parents may begin picking up their students at this time...buses will run at 1:30 p.m.
August 9, 2018 - Back to school "Meet the Teacher" for Excelsior ISD will be held Tuesday, August 21st from 6pm - 7:30pm. Students may bring their school supplies to leave in the classroom.
