November 13, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce office welcomed NacSpace to the chamber during their ribbon cutting event in the downtown Chamber office on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Chamber President Deborah Chadwick presented NacSpace with their official Chamber member plaque.
November 13, 2025 - Center High School would like to thank Wright Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Center, TX for making a contribution to our school that will enable us to provide incentives throughout the school year and help us recognize and reward students who are making great choices. These incentives enable us to create a positive and motivating learning environment for all of our students.
November 11, 2025 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries, Inc. is reaching out to the community for support as the winter season approaches. The organization’s resale store, The Unique Boutique, is in urgent need of donations of essential cold-weather items to help local families and individuals stay warm.

November 7, 2025 - The Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library staff and the Friends of the Library wish to thank the Shelby County community for your generous support during our fall book sale in October.
We greatly appreciate all the donations, volunteer hours, and purchases. The library depends on grants, donations, and fundraisers like the book sale to keep it a vital part of our community. The next book sale will be in April of 2026. Come and see us at the library!

November 6, 2025 - The Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) William Carroll Crawford Chapter gathered to enjoy a meal together on Wednesday, November 5 and to take care of chapter business. After chapter reports were presented, the members enjoyed two programs.
November 4, 2025 - The City of Center will be updating our payment processing systems beginning November 4 , 2025 at 6pm. Full services for financial transactions are expected to be restored before the start of business November 6, 2025.
October 29, 2025 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries need canned food donations as well as monetary donations due to the Government Shutdown. Our organization received a call from the Food Stamp Department wanting us to be aware that as of right now no one will be receiving food stamps for the month of November.
Shelby County Outreach has been serving up to 500 families monthly prior to this new situation. We are asking for businesses, church families, organizations, anyone that can help to please do so.
