October 22, 2016 – The Timpson Bears varsity football team dropped Friday’s District 11 2A-2 game with the visiting Overton Mustangs by a 31-21 score. Overton never trailed but had to stave off two Bears comeback attempts.

October 12, 2016 – The Center Roughriders varsity football team will travel to Carthage High School to take a shot at boosting their District 4A-1 record to 4-0. Center is currently 3-0 and has a 5-2 overall mark. The ‘Riders beat the Chapel Hill Bulldogs 35-28 last week.
